How to find inspiration for your blog post

You really want to know the fastest ways to make money at home? Check This Out

When writing content, you may often find that you hit a bit of a creative block. Some days the ideas and snappy sentences just flow and sometimes they don’t. This is especially problematic if you are just starting out in content writing, as you will be left without even a basic starting point to work from.

However, there are a few ways you can overcome this problem:

Utilise your keywords and the internet
If you are really stuck for ideas, why not use existing news, blogs and other sites on the internet to inspire you. This doesn’t mean you should copy what you find, as you need to have original content on your site if you want to improve your Google rankings and accumulate loyal visitors, but it can be a great place to start. Run searches on your keywords and use what you find to stimulate your creativity.

Find your niche

Alternatively, you could find ideas for your blog by identifying a niche for yourself. A good way of doing this is to make a note of every time you search for an answer and don’t find what you’re looking for; this is an opportunity to claim a gap in the market for yourself.

When looking for these, try and find one that has the potential to be expanded into a progression of niches. In this way, you will gradually become known as an expert on a particular topic.

Choose your angle
So, you’ve found your topic. You now need to expand it into a number of articles by finding a different angle or focus for each one. A good method to try is to ask yourself questions about the topic, e.g. what is interesting about this topic? What parts of it do I find hard to understand? The answers to these questions will form the basis of each article.

Merry Christmas from Just Search

You really want to know the fastest ways to make money at home? Check This Out

Just Search would like to wish all of our readers a very merry Christmas.

The problem with Christmas is that Google’s spiders do not take any time off like the rest of us, so what should you do? Well, do you think I’m sat writing this on Christmas day?

Programs such as WordPress give the functionality to schedule news articles or updates to pages. If you prepare in advance then scheduling should mean that when you finish for Christmas you don’t have to worry about your SEO, your scheduled updates will still be getting picked up which leaves you to finish off that cheese board without any worries.

Content writing at Christmas

You really want to know the fastest ways to make money at home? Check This Out

Many website owners or managers have latched on to the idea of adding regular content by now, with some adding daily content as a minimum. But this doesn’t stop these websites having lapses from time to time. Christmas is often one of those times when many websites, despite keeping up a good level of content production throughout the year, let slip their good ways.

The two main arguments for not writing or adding content to a website over the Christmas period are as follows:

  • Who wants to write content on Christmas Day?
  • Who wants to read content on Christmas Day?

Whichever argument you sway more towards, there is a reason why both of them are irrelevant for good content writing.

Writing content for Christmas Day

There are a couple of reasons why writing content for Christmas day is a plus for websites. First of all, Google’s spider will not be having a day off, it will still crawl away and Google’s computers will still do their indexing and caching of pages. It is also likely, that despite it being Christmas Day, people will still visit websites, whether it’s because they have the day off, or simply because they just don’t celebrate Christmas.

If you are on the side of not wanting to write content on Christmas Day, then it is worth noting that there are web applications out there that let you schedule content to go live in the future. Blogging software, like WordPress, is a good example of this, where you can write content in advance and set it to go live whenever you need.

So, in actual fact there is no reason you shouldn’t write for Christmas Day, even if it is just a message wishing everyone a ‘Merry Christmas’. Because even if the human visitors don’t come, the search engine spiders will still check to see if you have made any changes.

The beauty of the scheduling tool

You really want to know the fastest ways to make money at home? Check This Out

We all know the importance of writing new content regularly in order to improve Google rankings. But sometimes it’s not always possible to be at your computer to write new content every single day.

This is where the scheduling tool comes in. With blog programs such as WordPress, there is a built in scheduling tool which can be a life saver when you are going away on holiday or you simply want some time off.

The scheduling tool allows you to upload your posts and schedule them for a date and time in the future. When that date and time arrives, the content will go live.

Some people make the mistake of thinking that if you upload several articles onto your site; it doesn’t matter when they will appear, because it’s still extra pages and entry points onto your site. But unfortunately, that’s not how Google sees it. By uploading your articles all at once, Google sees this as one update and that does not make a good impression.

By scheduling your articles to run over a longer time period, Google will see that your site is regularly updated and it will therefore index your site more often.

With your scheduling taken care of, you’re free to go on your Christmas break and enjoy as many mince pies as you like, safe in the knowledge that your site will continue to be updated and therefore indexed by Google.
